Job summary
Modern Construction Services is seeking a seasoned Commercial General Superintendent to lead on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain project schedules across multiple sites. The role demands a road warrior mindset with high accountability and hands-on leadership from day one.
Travel is an integral part of this traveling Superintendent position, with extended stays at project sites and lodging per diem provided.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial construction at superintendent/ general superintendent level.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily on-site construction activities and ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and documents.
- Coordinate subcontractors and trade partners, including scheduling and performance oversight.
- Maintain a safe, compliant job site with safety orientations and protocols.
- Ensure quality control and verify installations meet required standards before acceptance.
- Develop and maintain look‑ahead schedules (three weeks) and overall project schedule.
- Oversee punch list, inspections, and project closeout documentation.
- Report progress to President of Construction and Project Manager; manage site conditions and RFIs.
