Job summary

Northern Clearing Inc. is seeking a Civil Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for solar, BESS and substation civil projects across the United States.

The role requires deep expertise in earthwork, utilities, storm drainage and environmental controls. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of hands-on experience, strong safety leadership, and the ability to manage subcontractors, read permits and drawings, and coordinate field operations with accurate data and budget tracking.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of hands-on Civil Construction Superintendent experience.
• Experience leading earthwork, utilities, storm drainage and environmental controls for solar, BESS and substation projects.
• Willingness to travel across the U.S. for project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site operations and safety compliance.
• Manage earthwork, utilities and storm drainage including environmental controls.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and field personnel; ensure schedule adherence.
• Review and interpret environmental permits, drawings, blueprints and CAD drawings.
• Model, calculate cut/fill and process drone data using Trimble and Propeller Aero tools.
• Ensure accurate GPS data collection, base station setup, and machine control data uploads.
• Oversee material submittals and subgrade preparation; monitor production vs budget.
• Maintain clear communication via emails and project documentation.
• Monitor quality assurance, safety performance and compliance with OSHA standards.
