Job summary

Northern Clearing Inc. is seeking a Civil Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for earthwork, utilities, storm drainage, and environmental controls on solar, BESS, and substation civil projects. Travel across the U.S.

will be required. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of field experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage safety and subcontractors. The role requires reading and interpreting permits, drawings, and CAD data, and proficiency with Trimble and GPS

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years in civil construction superintendent roles.
• Experience leading on-site teams and coordinating earthwork, utilities and storm drainage.
• Deep knowledge of environmental controls and grading for solar, BESS, substations.
• Proven ability to manage safety programs and subcontractors on large projects.
• Strong reading of environmental permits, drawings, and budget tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site operations with 15+ years of field experience.
• Oversee earthwork, utilities, and storm drainage, including environmental controls.
• Review permits, drawings, and CAD/ BIM data to guide field work.
• Coordinate with project management to track budget and schedule in real time.
• Manage subcontractors and direct field crews to ensure OSHA compliance and safety.
