Job summary

ARCO/Murray is seeking a Battery Storage Traveling Superintendent to join our Energy & Infrastructure team. You will lead on-site field operations for BESS projects, own safety, manage multi-disciplinary schedules, and coordinate with subcontractors from preconstruction through turnover.

The role requires 7+ years of Superintendent experience on relevant projects, with direct BESS exposure preferred. This is a traveling, on-site leadership position offering a comprehensive benefits package and

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial, industrial, or power infrastructure projects.
• Direct experience with BESS, substations, renewable energy, or heavy electrical projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and high‑voltage safety practices.
• Proven ability to lead traveling project assignments (regional or nationwide).
• Proficient with construction documentation and scheduling tools (Procore a plus).

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site field operations for BESS and power projects from preconstruction through turnover.
• Own safety on site, enforce safety plans and OSHA requirements.
• Manage the construction schedule across electrical, civil, mechanical, and commissioning activities.
• Supervise electrical subcontractors, equipment vendors, and specialty contractors.
• Oversee installation of battery enclosures, inverters, transformers, switchgear, foundations, grounding, and cable pulls.
• Coordinate utility interconnections, inspections, testing, and commissioning support.
• Lead daily huddles and subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Track manpower, productivity, and site logistics on fast‑track projects.
• Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and address constructability or sequencing issues.
• Maintain jobsite documentation including daily reports and QA/QC records.
• Collaborate with ARCO/Murray Project Managers to drive schedule, cost, and quality.
