Join our Traveling Construction Materials Technician team, where you can embark on new opportunities, develop professionally, and contribute to thrilling projects nationwide. This position involves travel, and applicants must live within a two-hour radius from one of our offices located in Texas.

In this position, you will travel 100% of the time to work on multiple high-profile projects such as transportation, commercial buildings, wind farms, and more across various geographical areas. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys traveling, working on diverse high-profile projects, and advancing their construction material testing career.

General Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of a materials engineering project to ensure safe, timely, and within scope and budget completion.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against the plan, troubleshoot operational issues, and minimize delays.
  • Handle resource management, project scheduling, budgets, forecasts, and coordinate with external vendors, subcontractors, or contractors.
  • Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate project status to team and clients.
  • Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet targets and milestones.
  • Communicate with clients and deliver work products to their satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with APR to ensure engagement throughout the project, especially at critical points.
  • Manage invoicing, change orders, and collections.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage small projects or project phases under supervision.
  • Implement established project plans.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems, lead safety efforts, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Analyze project requirements, perform calculations, and prepare reports and deliverables.
  • Coordinate activities of outside contractors to ensure quality standards.
  • Estimate costs, resources, and time, and monitor activities to meet targets.
  • Lead project meetings and prepare status reports.
  • Develop understanding of project-related risks and adhere to company risk policies.
  • Promote safety and quality standards continuously.
  • Engage with APRs at project start and throughout to ensure quality and oversight.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related field, with at least 2 years’ relevant experience; or a minimum of 6 years’ related experience without a degree.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
  • Willingness to travel 100% of the time.

This position is categorized as a "Remote Only" role, allowing work from home or other locations without a designated office workspace.
