Job summary

Healing Partners, a leading wound care provider, seeks a Wound Care Nurse Practitioner to lead resident and staff health care across skilled nursing facilities. This full-time, day-shift role requires daily travel; diagnoses and treats wound-related illnesses, prescribes follow-up, and collaborates with the medical director.

This position offers medical/dental/vision, HSA, 401k, tuition reimbursement, malpractice insurance, and a provider bonus plan.

Qualifications

• Proof of Covid vaccination.
• Must be licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
• Current Active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
• Board of Nursing approval to perform medical acts.
• Must hold a Master’s degree of Nursing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care.
• Daily travel to various facilities; regional variation based on scheduling needs.
• Examine and treat chronic and acute wound-related illnesses and injuries.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and follow up as needed.
• Refer to and update physicians; write prescriptions and conduct bedside procedures.
• Collaborate with the medical director in care and treatment of residents and staff.
• Perform wound debridement safely using approved methods.
• Manage topical wound care and related products.
• Educate patients and primary care physicians on wound management.
