Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking an experienced travel welder with proven above-ground storage tank construction experience for nationwide projects. New tank construction experience is a plus.

You will perform arc and torch cutting, welding, and quality checks while adhering to safety standards and working with a team across multiple sites. Strong communication, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities are essential as you coordinate with crews and supervisors on diverse

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work safely and follow procedures.
• Welding experience with AST construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging as part of tank construction.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders and other power tools.
• Weld plate with 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc processes.
• Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings and follow welding sequences.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in safety training and audits.
