Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking an experienced travel welder for projects nationwide. The role focuses on above-ground storage tank construction with hands-on welding, cutting, and testing. Strong communication, reliability, and safety awareness are essential.

You will join a team that handles diverse tank types and locations, with competitive pay and benefits. Must be 18+, able to pass background checks, and lift heavy components as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug testing may be required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a team.
• Welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate power tools and lifting equipment safely.
• Weld using 7018, 7024, 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc methods.
• Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings.
• Follow safety protocols and complete site-specific training.
• Collaborate with crew to plan fitting, welding, and tank construction tasks.
• Perform non-destructive testing support as needed.
