Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure seeks an experienced travel welder with above-ground storage tank (AST) construction experience for projects nationwide. Candidates with hands-on tank construction are strongly preferred.

The role involves field welding, operating power tools, and reading fabrication drawings, with extensive travel and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Good attendance and punctuality; reliable.
• Willingness to learn and adapt on diverse projects.
• Must be 18+ years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform field duties.
• Background checks and pre-employment testing required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform arc and torch cutting, gouging, and welding per specifications.
• Operate power tools, generators, compressors, and lifting devices.
• Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings for tanks.
• Follow safety procedures and site trainings; maintain quality control.
• Collaborate with crew members to complete projects nationwide.
