Job summary

Phillips Tank & Structure (PTS) is seeking an experienced travel welder for above-ground storage tank construction on projects nationwide. You will perform arc and gouging, weld on tanks, and operate power tools while following safety protocols and project drawings.

Ideal candidates have hands-on tank construction experience, reliable attendance, and willingness to work across multiple sites with travel. Competitive benefits and a strong team culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Performing arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Welding plates with 7018, 7024 and 6010 SMAW and FCAW.
• Using generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power tools.
• Reading detailed erection and fabrication drawings and planning weld sequences.
• Operate safety equipment including gas monitors and rescue kits.
• Be willing to undergo pre-hire, random and post-incident drug/alcohol testing.
