Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience for a Level II Trauma Center in Bangor, Maine. The 13-week travel assignment requires 40 hours per week with a flexible 8-hour shift and weekend rotation.

Primary location with possible rotation to an outpatient imaging center; Cerner EMR is used. Support from Lead Tech and Physician team on the unit; first-time travelers will be considered if they have 2+ years of employment experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sonography experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• ARDMS AB or OB certification required; both preferred.
• Adult patient care experience required; pediatric experience preferred.
• Compact or Maine state license required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Possible rotation to outpatient imaging; call and weekend rotation.
• Operate Cerner EMR and collaborate with Lead Tech and Physician team.

• 13-week assignment at a Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center with 411 beds


• Primary location with possible rotation to an outpatient imaging center


• 40 hours per week, variable shift schedule


• Weekend rotation required every other weekend


• Call rotation required


• May float between main campus and outpatient imaging center


• Uses Cerner EMR

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Sonography required


• BLS certification required


• ARDMS certification in AB or OB required, both preferred


• Adult patient experience required; pediatric experience preferred


• Compact or Maine state license required if applicable
