Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with ARDMS certification and 2+ years experience, including pediatric scanning ability.

Details

• Hospital-based imaging setting with offsite float coverage at an affiliated healthplex
• 2 rooms with 2 Samsung ultrasound machines
• Caseload of 12-15 scans per tech per day
• Pediatric patient population with a high volume of abdominal/stomach cases
• EMR system is Epic
• Monday through Friday schedule, 1500-2330
• No weekend shifts, but on-call required with flexibility to pick up additional shifts as offered
• Holiday coverage worked into the schedule
• Floats as needed between Inova Alexandria Hospital and offsite locations
• 1 week floor orientation provided

Requirements

• Current BLS certification through AHA
• ARDMS certification
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer
• Must be able to scan pediatric patients
• MSK knowledge is a plus
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Black scrubs required
• Local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate
• 50-mile radius rule applies for travel pay eligibility
• Returning employees may be considered 12 months after their last worked shift
