American Traveler is seeking a Travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Big Spring, Texas. The role covers inpatient, outpatient, and ED imaging with ARDMS certification and 1 year minimum experience.

Shift is 5x8 days (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) with on-call Monday–Friday 5:00 PM–7:00 AM; travel experience preferred. Epic EMR and PACS used; GE equipment employed across multiple departments including OB/GYN, vascular, and pediatric imaging.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum ultrasound experience.
• ARDMS certification required; AB/OB-GYN/RVT preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience required.
• Experience with OB/GYN scanning including fetal assessments.
• Proficiency with Epic EMR and PACS.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound across adult, pediatric, obstetric and vascular patients.
• Cover inpatient, outpatient and ED settings with a 1:1 patient ratio.
• Work 5x8 day shifts; participate in on-call rotation evenings/weekends.
• Utilize GE equipment and PACS for imaging and report in Epic.
• Maintain credentialing and compliance with ARDMS/ARRT guidelines.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist to cover inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings with at least 1 year of experience and required ARDMS certification.

Details

• Covers inpatient, outpatient, and ED settings
• Teaching hospital setting with Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• 5x8 day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS certification required; ARDMS AB, ARDMS OB/GYN, ARDMS RVT, and ARRT(S) preferred
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in OB/GYN ultrasound including trimester evaluations, amniotic fluid index, fetal anatomical survey, and umbilical cord Doppler
• Skilled in fetal, neonatal, and pediatric abdominal and head imaging
• Experience with general ultrasound including abdominal aorta, biliary tract, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and spleen
• Vascular ultrasound skills including aorta, carotid, color flow, duplex, and extremity arterial/venous studies
• Renal/pelvis imaging experience including bladder, ovaries, prostate, and transvaginal studies
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging across adult, pediatric, obstetric, and vascular patient populations
• Travel experience highly preferred though not required
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, and a positive result results in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid any products that could result in a positive drug screen, including CBD, prior to arrival
• Local candidates not accepted
• Must reside outside a 110-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
