Qualifications

• 1+ year of recent experience in this specialty and setting
• Valid nursing license as required by this state
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA recommended and may be required
• Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required

Responsibilities

• RNs in Telemetry nursing jobs use high-tech equipment to monitor patient conditions and progress.
• Telemetry RNs monitor post-ICU patients at risk for complications and must act quickly when problems arise.
• Duties include reviewing vitals, maintaining telemetry equipment, administering medications, and communicating with patients and families.
• Telemetry nurses may work long hours, night shifts, weekends, and holidays due to 24/7 monitoring needs.
