American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry/IMC assignment in Texas. The role requires a TX license and BLS/ACLS certifications, with BSN preferred and about 1 year of related nursing experience expected.

Assignment length is 13 weeks, full-time, with day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. This travel position emphasizes comprehensive patient care, nursing process delivery, and education for patients and families, including documentation and annual competency verification.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
• Current ACLS certification (AHA) required.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• IMC Med/Surg telemetry unit within a hospital setting.
• 13-week assignment, full time.
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Completion of annual competency verification requirements expected.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate unless local approval is granted.
• Returning CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment.
