American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Telemetry RN with an IN or compact license and Epic proficiency for a Med-Surg Telemetry unit. This role requires at least two years of acute care RN experience and BLS/NIHSS certifications, with Epic EMR experience preferred.

The RN will manage telemetry-read duties on a 24-bed unit, provide patient and family education, and participate in process improvement. Day shifts are 6:45a–7:15p, three days weekly, with every-other weekend commitments.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (IN or compact)
• BLS and NIHSS certification required
• Minimum two years of acute care inpatient RN experience
• Epic EMR experience required

Responsibilities

• Work on a 24-bed Med-Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio of 6:1 with mixed diagnoses
• RN reads telemetry but does not titrate medications
• Uses IV/PCA pumps, wound vacs, and glucometers
• Care for patients requiring trach, feeding tube, CPAP, wound vac, and dialysis assessment support
• Day shift schedule 6:45a-7:15p, three days per week
• Work every other weekend
• Unit supported by a CRN, discharge nurse, and weekday pharmacists
• Documents in Epic EMR
• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provides patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and may mentor or precept
• Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement efforts
• No local rate drop applies to this position
