Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist with strong neuro expertise for a day-shift OR role in a hospital setting. Candidates must have at least 3 years of operating room experience and BLS certification, with NBSTSA preferred.

Travel experience and licensure as applicable are required or preferred depending on state. The assignment is 13 weeks, 3x12-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with on-call requirements and potential deployment to Emergency Teams during

• Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience.
• Proficient in neuro surgical procedures.
• BLS certification required.
• NBSTSA certification preferred.
• Teaching hospital experience preferred.
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred.
• Prior travel experience required.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Hospital operating room setting.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM.
• 13-week assignment length.
• On-call requirement.
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team during declared emergency events, requiring on-site presence until relief arrives.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position.
• Candidates must live more than 65 miles from the facility to be eligible.
• Two Manager/Supervisor references (Charge RNs not accepted) required prior to starting contract, though not required for initial consideration.
• RTO must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process to avoid risk of offer rescission.
• Orientation is held five days a week.
• Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a full year separation before returning as a travel employee.

• Experience in robotics, orthopedics, or general surgery is a plus but not required
