1 year of scrubbing experience plus ENT and Robotic Da Vinci Xi familiarity is essential. Role involves high-volume trauma OR duties, Cerner EMR usage, and a structured 4x10 schedule with on-call rotation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Acute care Level 3 trauma hospital OR unit with 22 suites.
• High-volume unit averaging 50–65 cases per day across 16 service lines.
• Da Vinci Xi robotic surgeries for Gyn, Uro and General cases must be performed.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• 4x10 shift schedule with varied start times (6:30am, 9am, 11am).
• On-call one shift per 4-week schedule; weekday calls end at 7am, weekend calls 24 hours.
• No floating requirements; collaborate with Charge Nurse and House Supervisor on-site.
• Orientation includes HR/OR leadership sessions and a two-day shadowing scavenger hunt.

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with cardiac experience for a 13-week acute care OR Tech assignment requiring BLS certification and WA state registration.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of scrubbing experience required
• Cardiac surgical experience required
• ENT and Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery experience required
• BLS certification required
• CST certification not required nationally, but must be registered with Washington State
• Must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
• Active WA state license required at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• License required if applicable
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Responsibilities

• Acute care Level 3 trauma hospital OR unit with 22 suites (capacity up to 26 across 3 floors)
• High-volume unit averaging 50-65 cases per day across 16 different service lines
• Case types include GYN, Urology, Vascular, Plastics, Ortho (total hips/knees), Neuro, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, General (Breast/HPB/Bariatric), Sports Medicine (Hand/Podiatry), Kidney/Pancreatic transplants, and ENT (FESS, septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy, thyroid/parathyroid)
• Da Vinci Xi robotic surgery experience required for Gyn, Uro, and General cases
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 4x10 shift schedule with variable days (Mon-Fri) and start times (6:30am, 9am, or 11am); consistent start time maintained within the same week
• Later start times on Tuesdays and Fridays for in-services and team meetings
• On-call requirement of 1 shift (weeknight or weekend) per 4-week schedule; weekday call runs end of shift until 7am, weekend call is a 24-hour rotation
• Call response time of 30 minutes with on-site call room available
• No floating requirements
• Work alongside a collaborative team including a Charge Nurse and House Supervisor on-site
• Physicians and team members are described as helpful and willing to teach
• Unit and department orientation includes HR/OR leadership sessions and a two-day scavenger hunt shadowing a surgical tech
• Teal scrubs are provided by the facility
• Bring personal earphones for online training during the first week of orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travelers have historically extended their assignments when possible
• No holiday call requirements
