Newsandtribune in Everett, WA is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center with cardiovascular and thoracic experience and reliable call availability.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience, BLS, and WA state licensure (NBSTSA preferred). A compact license must be in hand at consideration, and Epic charting is used for documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a surgical technologist.
• BLS certification required.

• Willingness to assist and learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• 4x10 day shift schedule, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM.
• At least 10 call shifts per month, call hours 5:00 PM–6:30 AM.
• 1–2 weekends required per month.
• Daily average surgical case volume of 55.
• Perform CT surgeries (CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, valve, VATS, mediastinoscopy, RATS) with carotid cutdowns and laser lead standby.
• EPIC charting system used.
• Float between CT and general OR; support various specialties.
• Travelers may float between sister facilities.

American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring cardiovascular/thoracic surgical experience and call availability.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• 4x10 day shift schedule, regular hours 6:30 AM-5:00 PM
• At least 10 call shifts per month required, call hours 5:00 PM-6:30 AM
• 1-2 weekends required per month
• Daily average surgical case volume of 55
• Performs CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, minimally invasive valve, VATS, mediastinoscopy, RATS, and CVL support with carotid cutdowns and laser lead standby
• Required specialties include General, Cardiovascular/Thoracic, and Laparoscopic surgery
• Preferred specialties include OB/GYN, Plastics, ENT, Urology, Robotics, Orthopedics, Neuro/Crani, and Transplant
• Performs flexible endoscope reprocessing, with preferred experience in bronchoscopes, EGD scopes, and EBUS
• Singular scrub per cardiothoracic case, with expectation to float to general OR
• EPIC charting system used
• Level II Trauma Center with 571 total staffed beds across both campuses
• Any scrub color accepted except reddish orange
• Facility-paid parking provided
• First-time travelers accepted
• Pending license accepted
• Local candidates not accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies
• Former facility employees must wait at least 3 months before returning and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
• Must be willing to commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
