Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Labor & Delivery unit night shift, also functioning as a PCT. The role combines scrub tech duties with PCT tasks in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include 1 year experience, BLS, CST preferred, ACLS preferred, and licensure as required. You may float to related units; travel experience is welcome. Residence outside 50 miles is requested.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• CST certification preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• License required if applicable.
• Skills in gynecology procedures required.
• Preferred skills include bilateral tubal ligation, C-sections, cervical cerclage, and vaginal delivery.

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery unit setting with scrub tech duties combined with PCT responsibilities.
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 18:00 to 06:30.
• Patient ratio of 1:2.
• Epic charting system experience preferred.
• May be required to float to like units within scope as needed, with brief orientation provided.
• Perform scrub tech duties in Labor & Delivery while also assisting as a PCT.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as local candidates are not accepted.
• Previous staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience.
