Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Labor & Delivery unit in Denver, CO on a 13-week assignment. Requires recent acute CST L&D experience, NBSTSA certification, BLS, and DORA in hand, with state licensure if applicable.

You will join a team of 22 RNs and 2–3 CSTs on day shift to support vaginal deliveries and high-risk OB cases, prioritizing patient experience. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles away and have no gaps over 90 days in the past year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of current acute CST L&D experience.
• BLS certification required.
• NBSTSA certification required.
• DORA certification required in hand.
• State licensure required if applicable.
• Meditech EMR experience preferred.
• L&D experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Labor & Delivery unit with 29 beds, 4 ORs, 3 PACU bays, 12 antepartum rooms, and 10 triage rooms.
• Day shift staffing includes 22 RNs, 2-3 CSTs, 1 charge nurse and 1 flex staff; night shift includes 20 RNs, 1-2 CSTs, 1 charge nurse and 1 flex staff.
• Patient ratio of 2:1.
• Uses Centricity and GE monitors, with Meditech/CPN EMR.
• 13-week assignment with a 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM schedule.
• Typical procedures include vaginal deliveries and high-risk OB cases.
• Team-oriented candidates with strong communication skills with staff and providers are preferred.
• Patient experience is a priority for this unit.
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates will not be considered.
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months.
