Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital Operating Room position requiring strong orthopedic and neurosurgery case experience.

The role includes 4x10 hour day shifts (Mon-Fri 6:45a-5:15p) with call, in a rural NH setting. Candidates need CST experience, NBSTSA, BLS, EPIC EMR, and a supporting reference. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CST experience.
• High proficiency with orthopedic and neurosurgery cases.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• NBSTSA certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Candidate must have own vehicle due to rural location.
• One supervisory signed reference from within past two years of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Hospital Operating Room setting with 3 OR suites.
• Pediatric through geriatric patient population.
• Specializes in orthopedic and neurosurgery procedures.
• EPIC EMR used.
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 6:45a-5:15p.
• Call schedule required, including weekend coverage.
• Assist surgeon as scrub nurse according to prescribed surgical standards.
• Serve as 2nd circulator under direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse functioning as 1st circulator.
• Support housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe department environment.
• Facility provides scrubs.
• Candidates must work two required holiday blocks: Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend.
• No more than 5 days of RTO accepted, and must be submitted at time of profile upload.
• Candidates requesting schedule accommodations (such as block scheduling) will not be considered.
• Candidates working in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment will not be considered.
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered for this position.
