You will assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to prepare, manage, and maintain the sterile field throughout procedures. The position runs on a Days shift (6:30 AM to 3:00 PM), with rotating early starts/late ends, and includes travel housing

Job description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Days OR position requiring 2+ years of dedicated surgical experience across multiple specialties.

Requirements

• Confident CST abilities across General, Orthopedic, Robotic, Urological, OB/GYN, Podiatry, ENT, and Plastics specialties
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment

Responsibilities

• Operating Room unit with 8 regular beds, 2 cysto, 1 endo, and 2 c-section beds
• Days shift M-F, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with early starts and late ends rotated among staff
• Rotating regular call and back-up emergent call approximately 2 days a week and one weekend a month
• No floating required
• Uses PICIS EMR
• Hospital-provided green scrubs
• Prepare, manage, and maintain the sterile field in the operating room while assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Local candidates will not be considered
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week and submitted with the application
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered for this travel position
