American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR position requiring active experience with complex cardiovascular cases including bypass and ECMO.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Active experience with complicated and complex CVOR cases, including both first and second scrub roles
• Experience with bypass and ECMO procedures required
• National CST certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Congenital CV and pediatric CV experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Hospital setting in the Open Heart/CVOR department on the 1st floor of the main hospital
• 23 OR suites staffed with team leaders, board runners, PCTs, and surgical techs
• Uses O-ARM and advanced microscopes for complex cardiovascular procedures
• Meditech EMR system
• Typical procedures include CABG, Carotid Endarterectomy, Structural heart repair, and Congenital defect repair (VSD, PFO)
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotating weekends and call requirements
• Call rotates equally among staff members
• Floats to Main OR as needed
• 13-week assignment
• Scrubs provided in blue
• Best suited for candidates who are tough, strong willed, and have thick skin
• 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates will not be considered
• Requires US SSN and DOB for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri placements)
