Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Augusta, Georgia. The Stepdown RN will provide care to patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, focusing on cardiac monitoring and interventions.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains comfort and safety of telemetry patients.
• Observes patient conditions and notifies supervisor or physician of status.
• Responds to life-saving situations per hospital protocols.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
• Adheres to safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
