Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN PCU for a 16-week assignment in Augusta, GA. The Stepdown RN will provide care transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, focusing on telemetry monitoring and cardiac care, with 12-hour night shifts and 36 hours per week.

Requirements include 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS, and willingness to travel. Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors cardiac rhythms and telemetry data; respond to abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Documents patient status and notifies team of changes in cardiac status.
• Responds to life-threatening situations following protocols.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Educates patients on cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
