Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, CA. The SLP will evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders across ages, developing individualized plans and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include conducting assessments, designing therapy programs, tracking progress in the EMR, and educating patients and families on therapy home exercises and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Valid SLP license in California per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across diverse patients.
• Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluations and patient goals.
• Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and document in the EMR.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing practices.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, infection-controlled therapy environment in line with standards.
• Engage in quality assurance and ongoing professional development.
