Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP certification is preferred or eligible for.
• Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility setting and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Documentation skills and ability to manage a 36-hour minimum per week.
• Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat adults with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders within the SNF setting.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans; document patient progress in medical records.
• Conduct bedside swallow screens and evaluate dysphagia as appropriate; coordinate referrals for diet modification or further testing.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support discharge planning and functional goals.
• Provide patient and family education on communication strategies, swallowing safety, and prognosis.
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory and facility policies.
