AMN Healthcare Allied is seeking a travel School Physical Therapist for a placement in La Plata, Maryland. The PT will assess students, design and implement treatment plans, and educate students to improve movement and reduce pain.

The role involves collaboration with the district team, data collection, and clear communication with teachers and families. A current MD PT license and NPTE are required, with school experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited DPT program.
• Pass the NPTE and hold an MD PT license.
• Clear, articulate communication skills; able to explain results.
• School setting experience is a plus.
• Completion of a criminal record and background check.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the district as a member of a collaborative team to help students restore and maintain their physical functions.
• Screen and evaluate students referred to Physical Therapy treatment.
• Appropriately collect data, report findings.
• Diagnose movement dysfunction and create personalized treatment plans to help patients reduce pain, improve movement, and restore function.
• Provide evidence-based direct and consultative therapy services as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards.
• Participate on a collaborative team and maintain clear communication with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student treatment.
