Job summary

Trinity Health FirstChoice is seeking a Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for flexible assignments at St Joseph Regional Medical Center-Mishawaka. The role supports premium pay, travel and per diem opportunities, and a variety of practice settings, with night shifts and a 3x12 schedule.

You must be a Respiratory Therapist with registry eligibility and current CRT/RRT credentials, capable of floating between locations and collaborating with care teams to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner program in Respiratory Therapy and registry eligible.
• CRT and/or RRT credential required or in progress with eligibility.
• Valid state license to practice respiratory care where required.

Responsibilities

• Float across hospital locations and regions as needed.
• Apply professional practice per AARC guidelines and maintain scope of knowledge.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support quality improvement outcomes.
• Adapt quickly to new responsibilities and priorities.

What you will do

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
• Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
• Current CRT and/or RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.
• Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
