Job summary

Trinity Health Grand Rapids is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for FirstChoiceRT staffing assignments. This part-time, night-shift role offers premium pay and maximum scheduling flexibility, with opportunities to travel regionally within the health system.

The successful candidate will float across multiple hospital locations, adhere to AARC guidelines, and collaborate with physicians and staff to deliver high-quality respiratory care.

Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapist with RRT certification and state license as required by the state you work in.
• Registry eligible for RT credential.
• Good interpersonal and analytical skills; comfortable communicating with patients and staff.
• Proficient with Windows environments and basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Float throughout hospital locations and regions as needed.
• Follow AARC guidelines and standard professional practices.
• Act independently within your scope of knowledge and experience.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support quality and improvement outcomes.
• Adapt to new responsibilities and changing priorities.

What you will do:

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates &demonstratesstandard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
• Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborateswith key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embracesnew ideas& cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

• Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
• Current RRTcredential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care ifrequiredin thestateyou areworking.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.
• Analytical skillsnecessarytoidentifypatient’sneeds.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
