Job summary

Trinity Health Grand Rapids is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for the FirstChoice RT mobile staffing program. You will support short- and long-term assignments across the health system, with opportunities to travel regionally.

This part-time role offers premium pay, flexible scheduling, and per diem options. Start date ASAP, nights, 3x12 shifts, with daily pay options and license/certification reimbursements where applicable.

Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapist with current RRT credential.
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner - Accredited Respiratory Therapist program; Registry eligible.
• Current state license in Respiratory Care if required by state.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and physicians.
• Analytical skills to identify patient needs and outcomes.
• Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Float to multiple hospital locations or regions as needed.
• Follow and apply standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
• Act independently within your scope of knowledge and experience.
• Maintain accountability for delegation, choices, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.

What you will do

• Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions
• Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice per AARC guidelines.
• Acts independently & appropriately within, scope of knowledge & experience in practice area
• Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes
• Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes
• Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities
• Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications

• Respiratory Therapist
• Graduate of a two-year advanced practitioner -Accredited Respiratory Therapist program: Registry eligible.
• Current RRT credential.
• Valid State License in Respiratory Care if required in the state you are working.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other health personnel and department management during all situations and in line with our mission and values.
• Analytical skills necessary to identify patient’s needs.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
