Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care - Surgical/Trauma unit with ventilator and telemetry expertise. The role requires a VA or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years of RN experience.

The unit focuses on pulmonary and cardiac care, including advanced airway management and cardiology monitoring. Night shifts are 3x12 hours with weekend requirements and facility policy on floating and proximity to campus.

Qualifications

• Active VA or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Cardiac telemetry background within the past year.
• Ventilator management experience and respiratory proficiency including high flow, tracheostomy, BiPAP.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult to geriatric patients with pulmonary and cardiac conditions in IMC/Stepdown.
• Provide ventilator management and advanced airway support as needed.
• Monitor and respond to telemetry changes and dysrhythmias.
• Assist with ECGs, catheterization care, and cardiac drips per protocol.
• Maintain patient ratios (1:4) on a 3x12-hour night shift.
• Floating per facility policy and acceptable in rotation with client staff.
