Job summary

American Traveler, LLC is hiring an RN for a 41-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift in Columbia, SC. The role requires ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and 1+ year of trauma/telemetry experience with Epic EMR proficiency.

Travel nurses enjoy high pay with bonuses, day-one medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401(k), housing assistance, licensure reimbursement and non-taxed per diem. Night shifts are 3x12s (19:00–7:30) with 36 hours per week and weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (SC state or compact) required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year recent trauma/telemetry unit experience
• 2+ years specialty experience for first-time travelers
• 1 year Epic EMR experience
• Teaching hospital/Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• IV therapy, central/PICC line care, blood product administration and telemetry
• BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, tracheostomy management preferred
• Wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE protocols

Responsibilities

• Care for adult trauma and progressive care patients in a 41-bed unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias with telemetry
• Provide skilled nursing care for post-surgical trauma patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in orientation
