• Provide critical care nursing to trauma, medical, and surgical ICU patients including ventilator management, arterial and central line care, and blood product administration.
• Skills may include chest tube assistance, EVD/ICP monitoring, continuous sedation and vasoactive drip titration, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction.

Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position requiring a WI or compact license and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Trauma ICU setting within a Level I Trauma teaching hospital
• Day/evening shifts on a 3x12 schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with 4x12 schedules considered
• Every other weekend rotation and some holiday coverage required
• Floating required as needed
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only) required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, including Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICU experience
• Must have acute care experience within the specialty in the last 3 years
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including adult and pediatric arrhythmia identification

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to trauma, medical, and surgical ICU patients including ventilator management, arterial and central line care, and blood product administration
• Skills utilized may include chest tube assistance, EVD/ICP monitoring, continuous sedation and vasoactive drip titration, and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
• Located in a Magnet-designated, nationally ranked teaching and referral hospital
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• No previous travel experience required
