Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down/Telemetry unit in Colorado. A CO or compact RN license and telemetry experience are required, with certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. EPIC experience is necessary, and ASN is required with BSN preferred.

Three open positions, 3x12 night shifts (1900-0730), 36 hours weekly. Travel-orientated staffing with potential department float and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CO or compact) required.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year telemetry or higher-level nursing experience.
• EKG competency and rhythm interpretation skills required.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• EPIC charting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 32-bed Med Surg Step Down unit managing drips and acute care patients.
• 3x12hr Night shifts (1900-0730), 36 hours per week.
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
• EPIC charting system used.
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including health teaching and counseling.
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Review and monitor ongoing therapy and treatment plans.
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligible for a travel assignment.
