Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Neuro unit position requiring 2+ years of experience and a TN or compact RN license. The role is based in Cookeville, TN with a day shift (3x12) and a 4:1 patient ratio.

Candidates must have an active TN or compact RN license, provide two professional references, and submit PDFs of their driver's license and Social Security card. Local candidates within 50 miles preferred.

Qualifications

• Active TN or compact RN license required.
• 2+ years of recent nursing experience required.
• Neuro experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Stepdown Neuro unit of a hospital environment
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 to 19:00
• Patient ratio of 4:1 during day shifts
• Required to work every other weekend
• Block scheduling accommodations available
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be considered a local candidate
• No time off permitted between 2/8/26 and 3/26/26
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
