Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Stepdown RN with PCU/telemetry experience for a hospital unit in the Cleveland area. An Ohio or Compact RN license is required, with 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty. The role involves 3x12 hour day/night shifts and potential float to related units.

Candidates must have BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments. Vaccines are required; locals preferred, and first-time travelers are not accepted.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty required.
• PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required.
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required for consideration.
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable score.

Responsibilities

• Work in the HVTI-Stepdown unit of a hospital setting.
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33 and the ED to care for the same patient population.
• Day/Night rotating shift schedule (3x12 hours), 7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30.
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet the operational needs of the facility.
• Provide step-down level nursing care to a cardiac/telemetry patient population.
• Required to work every other holiday.
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate.
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical/religious exemptions only.
• Previous permanent employees cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their last end date.
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
