American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Stepdown/PCU RN for a night shift in a 12-bed unit, providing care to cardiac, neuro and telemetry patients. The role requires an active SC RN license or compact license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years of telemetry/stepdown experience.

• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of stepdown/PCU or ICU experience required.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management preferred.
• Experience with neuro stepdown conditions preferred.
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP and ventilator management preferred.
• SSN required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a 12-bed unit.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a.
• Patient ratio of 1:4.
• Every other weekend requirement.
• Holiday rotation required.
• No on-call requirement.
• Floating within scope to sister units/facilities, with agency staff floating first.
• Epic charting system used.
• Provide stepdown-level nursing care to cardiac, neuro, and telemetry patients.
• Royal blue scrub color required.
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility.
• First-time travelers may be considered.
• Block scheduling may be requested.
• RTO must be submitted and approved prior to offer; holiday RTO may delay process.
• Travelers may be required to support emergency response during hurricane season.
• Free parking available on-site.

• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management preferred
• Experience with neuro stepdown conditions (CVA, craniotomy, TBI) preferred
• Respiratory care skills including BiPAP/CPAP and ventilator management preferred
• Social Security Number required for consideration
