Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Telemetry RN in Kentucky with an active KY or compact license and at least 2 years of acute inpatient telemetry experience. Epic EMR experience required; RN will read telemetry, titrate heparin, and collaborate on care plans.

Day shift 6:45a-7:15p, 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts, with every-other weekend. Responsibilities include patient assessment, education, and ensuring safety and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active KY compact RN license required.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years acute inpatient telemetry RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Med-Surg/Tele/Ortho unit with 24 beds.
• Patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 with mixed diagnoses.
• Uses Epic EMR and Galaxy Blue systems.
• RN must read telemetry and titrate heparin.
• Day shift schedule from 6:45a-7:15p.
• Works every other weekend per unit need.
• 36 hours per week across 3 twelve-hour shifts.
• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provides patient and family education throughout stay and at discharge.
• Mentors and precepts staff while fostering strong teamwork.
• Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel.
• Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives.
• Follows a Practice Governance framework and evidence-based care model
