Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuroscience Progressive Care Unit in Greensboro, NC. This travel assignment requires NIHSS certification, NC license, and prior Neuro PCU experience.

You will rotate nights on a 30-bed unit with 1:5 patient ratio, floating across campuses, and comprehensive benefits including housing allowance and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC or Compact at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; Neuro PCU experience
• Epic EMR experience
• CVA care, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR Band, Yale Swallowing Screen experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG skills
• Experience managing cardiac drips without titration
• First-time travelers welcome; reside at least 50 miles from facility

Responsibilities

• Care for medical neurological patients in a 30-bed Neuro PCU
• Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department provides cardiac monitoring support
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Floating across facility campuses as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Self-assisted scheduling via Optilink on 6-week periods
• Provide care for CVA cases on a stepdown unit
• Non-invasive airway management and IV therapy
• Utilize cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation for emergencies
• Complete orientation modules 2–4 hours
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Progressive Care Unit position requiring NIHSS certification and prior neuro PCU experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior Neuro PCU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with CVA care, external CPAP/BiPAP, TR Band, and Yale Swallowing Screen required
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG skills required
• Experience managing cardiac drips without titration
• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)

Responsibilities

• Work in a 30-bed Medical Neuroscience Progressive Care department focused on medical neurological patients
• Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department provides cardiac monitoring surveillance support
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Floating required as needed across all facility campuses
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Self-assisted scheduling via Optilink on 6-week periods
• Provide care for medical neurological patients including CVA cases on a stepdown unit
• Perform non-invasive airway management, tracheostomy care, IV therapy, and central/peripheral line management
• Utilize cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills for emergency response
• Complete non-billable orientation modules averaging 2-4 hours, hours vary by unit
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, with no local rate option available
