Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Neuro Tele RN to join the PCU on the night shift in Texas. Requires TX or compact RN license and Epic EMR experience, with 2 years of recent RN practice.

You will work in a 379-bed short-term acute care hospital, with a 1:4 patient ratio and floating between units and facilities within the state. First-time travelers welcome.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry nursing care to neuro patients.
• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a 379-bed hospital.
• Maintain patient ratio of 1:4.
• Night shift 19:00–07:00, 3x12-hour shifts.
• Weekend schedule: 6 shifts per 6 weeks.
• Floating between units and facilities within the state.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Dress code: navy scrubs for licensed staff.
• First-time travelers welcome.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Neuro Tele RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position requiring a TX or compact RN license and welcoming first-time travelers.

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• 2 years of recent experience required
• Epic EMR experience required

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a short-term acute care hospital with 379 staffed beds
• Neuro telemetry patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:00)
• Weekend requirement of 6 shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating required between units and between facilities within the state
• No on-call responsibilities
• Provide telemetry nursing care to neuro patients within a Level II Trauma Center
• Dress code requires solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire for licensed nursing personnel
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not live within 50 miles of the facility
• Minimal time-off requests accommodated during the assignment
