Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit in Florida. The role requires 2 years PCU experience and an active FL or compact RN license. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS must be current.

You will work 12-hour night shifts on a 36-bed unit with patient ratios of 4 to 6:1, using Epic EMR and floating to sister campuses. Local candidates are not accepted; housing and licensure reimbursements are provided.

Qualifications

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
• Degree accreditation must be documented on profile, or 5 years of acute care experience required in lieu of accreditation
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing

Responsibilities

• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week on a Progressive Care/Ortho Spine unit
• 36-bed unit with patient ratios of 4 to 6:1
• Uses Epic EMR
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float, including to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes
• Travelers are welcomed as core staff and expected to function at the same level
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront, as RTO will not be approved after submission
• Orientation begins on a Friday, with remote orientation followed by an in-person visit for badge/ID
• Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending documentation
• Candidates must be flexible and willing to float to sister campuses
• Candidates should plan to secure full-time housing in the area rather than commuting from a distant home
