Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Pediatric Telemetry RN for a 10-week night shift assignment in Connecticut. The role requires CT or Compact RN licensure and experience in a Level I Trauma Center, with EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring for pediatric patients, 1:4 ratio, night shifts 19:00–07:00, and every other weekend. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (CT or Compact) required prior to start date, pending license accepted if active before start
• BLS certification required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years RN experience required (1.5 years accepted if from a Level I trauma center or large hospital)
• Teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID booster required unless religious/medical exemption applies

Responsibilities

• Pediatric Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center academic medical center
• Patient ratio averages 1:4
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs
• Epic EMR used, experience preferred
• 10-week contract length for winter coverage
• Provide telemetry monitoring and care for pediatric patients on the unit
• Royal blue scrub color required
• Travelers may be expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
• Local radius restrictions waived for this 10-week assignment
• Candidates must be gone 2 years from facility to return as a traveler
• No holiday RTO permitted; maximum of 5 days RTO allowed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
