Job summary
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Stepdown Unit with telemetry and cardiac monitoring skills, requiring an active IL RN license. The role demands current BLS and NIHSS certifications; ACLS is preferred, with at least 1 year in IMC/Stepdown or telemetry and prior travel nursing experience.
The position is in a Level I trauma hospital with Cerner EMR, offering comprehensive benefits and the potential for travel assignments.
Qualifications
- Active IL RN license required and in hand at time of consideration.
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of IMC/Stepdown, PCU, or telemetry experience required.
- Prior travel nursing experience required.
Responsibilities
- Provide stepdown-level nursing care across cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and orthopedic patient populations.
- Work day shift schedule, 4x12 hours (0645-1915).
- Every other weekend required.
- Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities.
- Operate in Cerner EMR to document care and monitor patients.
