American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN to join the Telemetry Float Pool in Chandler, AZ. The role requires active AZ/compact RN licensure and strong cardiac skills, with a 13‑week assignment. You will float between Telemetry and MedSurg, handling mainly adult patients with varied cardiac and medical conditions.

The schedule is 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday requirements. Cerner experience and critical care competencies are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active AZ RN license or compact (NLC) RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years Telemetry nursing experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required.
• Experience titrating cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine required.
• Must be able to interpret EKGs.

Responsabilités

• Work in a hospital-based Telemetry Float Pool, floating between Telemetry and MedSurg units.
• Care for post-cardiac, neuro, ortho, oncology and general medical-surgical patients aged 15+.
• Maintain patient ratios around 1:3-4 Telemetry/Neuro and 1:4 MedSurg.
• 12-hour night shifts with 4 weekend shifts per schedule and 2 of 3 major holidays.
• Float across units and campuses; use Cerner for documentation; CEUs and training as required.
• Telemetry monitoring with central monitors; no pediatric or vented patients.
• Notify float location 1.5 hours before shift; potential to float between campuses 9 miles apart.
