Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Travel Med/Surg/Telemetry/PCU Float Pool in Prescott, AZ. Night shift, 12 hours, 36 hours per week, 13-week assignment with a target start date of 01/13/2026.

Active AZ or compact RN license required, along with BLS and ACLS. Experience in PCU and telemetry, ability to titrate drips, and proficiency with Cerner EMR are essential. Travel and licensure reimbursements offered.

Qualifications

• Active AZ or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be current.
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year in a PCU setting.
• Able to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips.
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam (min 80%) within two attempts.
• Two references: supervisor and peer, with dates and eligibility.
• Driver’s license copy required for consideration.
• Cannot have been directly employed at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in past year.
• Permanent residence at least 50 miles from facility.

Responsibilities

• Float pool across Med/Surg, Telemetry, PCU, and ED holding areas.
• Interpret telemetry strips and manage patient monitoring.
• Titrate and manage drips (e.g., Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin).
• Use Cerner EMR for documentation and orders.
• Night shifts, 12 hours, with every other weekend.
• Floating to all related units as needed, including inpatient holding in ED.
• Monitor techs and ensure accurate telemetry interpretation.
• CPAP/BiPAP used at night in Med/Surg; BiPAP/CPAP used in PCU.
