American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry/Stepdown RN for a 13-week acute care assignment in Morgantown, WV. The unit includes 31 beds across two connected units (6N and 6C) with telemetry monitoring and in-house tech support.
You will provide direct patient care on a magnet hospital floor, performing drip titration and Heparin management as needed. Requirements include WV or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years of RN experience.

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/Stepdown RN with 2+ years of experience and drip titration skills for a 13-week acute care assignment.
- Acute care stepdown and floor unit with 31 beds across two connected units (6N and 6C)
- Patient ratios of 1:3 on Stepdown and 1:5-6 on the Floor
- Patient population includes MedSurg, Cardiac, IDDM, COPD, Trauma, Ortho, ENT, Urology, and pain management cases
- Unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring and dedicated tele techs
- RT staff in-house 24/7; no ventilators on this unit
- 3x12hr day shifts scheduled 7a-7:30p or 7p-7:30a
- Every other weekend required, along with call and holidays as scheduled
- Charge Nurse on every shift and House Supervisor in-house 24/7
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Active WV or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Must be able to titrate drips in Stepdown and manage Heparin gtts on the floor
- Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
- BSN not required
- Unexpired copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled for travelers
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
- Previous perm employees must have a 2-year break before reapplying
- Previous travelers who completed a full year must take a 2-year break before returning
- Candidates may only be submitted to one position within the WVU system at a time
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
