Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is hiring a Travel RN for Med/Surg Tele in West Virginia. The role requires 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience and WV or compact RN license. Night shift, 36 hours per week, 13 weeks contract.
You'll work in a fast-paced unit with cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and neuro/trauma support. Excellent pay and benefits accompany this assignment.

- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients including cardiac, renal, neurological, and orthopedic cases.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry findings.
- Administer IV therapies, medications, and post-procedure care as needed.
- Support patients with withdrawal and seizure disorders and coordinate with care teams.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2+ years of current experience and a WV or compact RN license.
- MS/Tele unit within an expanding department
- Night shift rotation (3x12 and 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
- 36/48 rotating schedule totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
- Patient ratio of 1:5-7
- Floating required within scope of practice
- Every other weekend required
- Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
- Active WV or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- 2+ years of current Med/Surg Tele experience required
- 3-6 months of Level IV Trauma or above experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management
- Experience managing IV insulin protocols and cardiac drips
- Experience with post-MI care and pre/post cardiac catheterization
- Familiarity with CVA care, post-TPA care, and neurosurgery patients
- Flu vaccine required with only medical or religious exemptions considered
- Driver's license required with address matching permanent address
- Two professional references required, one from a Charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor, both completed within the last year
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients including cardiac, renal, neurological, and orthopedic cases
- Support patients with substance withdrawal and seizure disorders
- Administer epidural analgesia, heparin protocols, and PCA medications as needed
- Monitor chemotherapy administration for oncology patients
- Only local candidates within 75 miles of the facility will be accepted
- No extensions approved beyond this 13-week contract
- Up to 7 days of RTO considered if submitted upfront with no changes accepted afterward
- Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
- Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
- Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after working one year before returning to this system
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on relevant Level IV experience
