Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg-Telemetry RN for a 12-week day shift assignment in Texas. Requires active TX or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with 1+ years of MS/Tele/Wound Care experience. Floating is part of the role; travel housing and licensure reimbursements are available.

The unit is a 45-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry floor, with a 6:1 patient ratio, tight schedule, and no on-call duties. Weekly payroll and Day 1 benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications not expiring soon.
• 1+ year MS/Telemetry/Wound Care experience.
• No 90+ day employment gaps in the last year.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients on a 45-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry unit.
• Maintain a 6:1 patient ratio on day shift.
• Floating to other units as needed; no on-call duties.
• Utilize MEDHOST EMR for charting.
• Adhere to facility dress code (dark navy scrubs).
• RTO requests limited to under 1 week.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Telemetry RN for a 12-week day shift assignment requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, and prior MS/Tele/Wound Care experience.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of start
• 1+ years of recent experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry/Wound Care required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days in the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• 45-bed Med/Surg/Telemetry unit
• Day shift, 5:45 AM to 6:15 PM
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Floating required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling possible
• EMR: MEDHOST
• Dark navy blue scrubs required
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Holiday blackout period December 24-25Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Not eligible if previously employed as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
